This was my first experiment whith digital art.
It was around 1998 with an old PC.
I remember my grandma was at home and I asked if a could take some photographs.
I was using my dad’s old Canon A1 and we hanged a sheet for a background.
Of course I had to wait until the photos were developed, then scan them, then trace them and start working.
Back then I felt that I was entering a whole new field…

The Gambler – Drawing with video tutorial
“The Gambler”
I decided to do this drawing and record it.
It took me about 20 minutes.
The creative process:
I don’t plan ahead, I just start drawing whatever comes to mind.
I usually throw some lines and build upon these.
My favorite tool is a black ink pen.
Sometimes I use pencil but I never erase.
If I don’t like something I just correct on top of it.
The images are faces or people generally.
I don’t care about proportions or aesthetics as you can see.
They look at me after I do these and I can tell what are they thinking: …this guy is creepy or what a freak…but that makes it even more satisfying.
Well, I hope you like it and don’t forget to check out the video down below.
